Our work is important as we believe in transforming lives, empowering communities, and building a resilient future for all.

Socio-Economic Development Organization (SEDO) is a grassroots non-profit organization based in Dhemaji, Assam, working for the socio-economic development of rural and marginalized communities. Established on 9th February 2002, SEDO was founded by a group of socially committed young individuals who aimed to address poverty, unemployment, disaster vulnerability, and lack of access to essential services in flood-prone areas of Assam.
Over the years, the organization has expanded its work in mental health, child development, maternal health, livelihoods, disaster mitigation, and environmental sustainability, empowering communities through inclusive and community-driven development initiatives.
